Sweet!

My daughter's school holds a funfest every spring, and one of the most popular events is a cakewalk, where participants enjoy a game of musical chairs and have a chance to win a cake! This year's theme was All Star Sports, so I made two basketball and two baseball cakes. I intended to do a soccer ball and a golf ball, but ran out of time!

The black and white cookies are a new thing for me, but since a friend requested them, I did my research and saw that some people are really serious about their black and whites. I am happy to report that these beauties were spot on...crips on the outside, cakey in the centre and chocolate and vanilla in every bite!

Birthday Gift

Natalia recently celebrated her third birthday and when asked what theme she wanted for her party, she simply requested gifts and balloons. We paired that with her favourite colours of pink and purple and came up with this. The flavour of this confection was banana cake with nutella buttercream!

First Birthday

A two tier cake, topped off with a giant cupcake and decorated with balloons, streamers, stars and presents, to celebrate a little boy's first birthday. Inside the cake were alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
