Autumn Wedding Cake

This was such a fun cake to make! The leaves in our area have turned lovely shades of colours, and this cake captures some of them. The rich colours of the cake, were highlighted by the reception setting. There was a huge backdrop of lovely autumn leaves! The bottom tier of this cake was chocolate cake with vanilla oreos 'n cream buttercream, the middle tier, vanilla with vanilla buttercream and the top tier was red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. It must have made for a dramatic cutting! All decorations, leaves, acorns, cording were edible.

Fashionista Cake

These cakes were made for a lovely lady. She arrived at her surprise party with her Louis Vuitton purse, so the cake was apropos!!! Everything, except the flower stamens and the jewels on the shoe, is edible. Inside was moist vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream.

Transportation Birthday Cake

The recipient of this cake likes all moving things...cars...trucks...trains...
All transport vehicles were hand cut, and put together like a jigsaw puzzle. Inside were alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting.

First Communion Cake and Cookies

This is prime first communion season, and here is another cake to celebrate. This was similar to an earlier design, but I incorporated the celebrant's initials on the cake and co-ordinating cookies.

Sweet!

My daughter's school holds a funfest every spring, and one of the most popular events is a cakewalk, where participants enjoy a game of musical chairs and have a chance to win a cake! This year's theme was All Star Sports, so I made two basketball and two baseball cakes. I intended to do a soccer ball and a golf ball, but ran out of time!

The black and white cookies are a new thing for me, but since a friend requested them, I did my research and saw that some people are really serious about their black and whites. I am happy to report that these beauties were spot on...crips on the outside, cakey in the centre and chocolate and vanilla in every bite!

Hawaiian Luau

My little girl has turned 4! She decided to go with a Hawaiian Luau theme this year, and between cookies for her loot bags, mini cupcakes for her classmates and a two tiered cake, complete with a look-a-like hula dancer, I was kept quite busy. The cupcakes are an egg-free vanilla recipe. The cake was one tier of banana cake with nutella buttercream and one tier of vanilla cake with orange buttercream.

Birthday Gift

Natalia recently celebrated her third birthday and when asked what theme she wanted for her party, she simply requested gifts and balloons. We paired that with her favourite colours of pink and purple and came up with this. The flavour of this confection was banana cake with nutella buttercream!

First Communion

My dear friend's son recently received his first communion. We incorporated their praying hands with rosary theme into the cake and added a bible and chalice, which were all hand sculpted. The flavours included chocolate cake with custard filling and vanilla cake with oreos 'n cream filling.

Lindsay

This cake was made for the wedding of my husband's cousin and his beautiful bride. All they told me is they wanted brown and white and a snowflake theme. The ribbons and bows are made of chocolate fondant, and the snowflakes are actually crystal ornaments that they can use for years to come to remember this special day. Inside was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, vanilla cake with lemon buttercream and raspberry preserves and vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream. Congratulations Peter and Lindsay!

One for a little boy, one for a girl! The giant cupcake was for my daughter's friend who wanted cherries incorporated into her party, which was held at a bowling alley. The cake was vanilla with chocolate buttercream. The little car was for a boy who loves playing with his toy cars...

Hockey Goalie Mask

My friend showed me a picture of a goalie mask and asked me to recreate it out of cake for her son's birthday. This was a challenge, but everyone said it was a hit! Inside this cake is Vanilla cake with oreos 'n cream buttercream.

My nephew is obsessed with his Webkinz, so this was the only cake that could adequately celebrate his 5th birthday! All figurs and decorations were created with sugarpaste. Inside was vanilla cake with milk chocolate buttercream. Happy Birthday Luca!
